An Introduction to Dawpool

  • A Message from Mr Burrows

    Head Teacher

On behalf of the children, staff, church and governors, I welcome you to Dawpool Church of England (Aided) Primary School.

Dawpool is a welcoming, inclusive family school with a strong Christian ethos, a sense of community and a commitment to excellence for all children in our care. The Dawpool community are united in their ambition to create a school which embodies the person, love and work of Jesus Christ: a school which enables Christian values to flourish and where all children may experience 'The abundant life that Jesus offers' (John 10:10).

We are a Church of England school within the Chester Diocesan Academies Trust (CDAT) and have very close links with St Chad’s Church, Irby and St Bartholomew’s Church, Thurstaston. Our Christian values - known as the ‘Fruit of the Spirit’ - are embedded into the heart of the school:

‘Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Generosity, Faithfulness,

Gentleness & Self-Control (Galatians 22-23)

We are enormously proud of our school and its place in the local community of Thurstaston and Irby. Our locality at the foot of Thurstaston Hill is one of the most attractive school settings on Wirral. Our website will hopefully give you a sense of our unique environment and the abundant curriculum we provide.

If you would like your child to join our Foundation 1 (Pre-School) or Foundation 2 (Reception) class  please visit our Admission to Dawpool page for more information. For further information on Admissions, and to book an appointment to look around the school, please contact Mrs Enid Kenney, our School Business Manager, on 0151 648 3412 (option 3) or via email at schooloffice@dawpool.wirral.sch.uk

Thank you once again for your interest in Dawpool and please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
