Welcome to Year 2's Class Page
PE Days
PE will take place every Monday. Children may come into school already wearing their PE kit on these days.
Homework and Reading
Homework will be sent home on Fridays and should be returned to school the following Wednesday.
The homework will focus on English and Maths, helping to reinforce and practise the skills we are learning in school.
Please continue to read daily with your child. Reading books will be changed weekly, so please ensure your child brings their reading book and reading record to school.
From time to time, your child may also be sent home with an additional design project.

Reading
Your child can change their book every day should they wish to do so. We encourage children to change their books at least once a week and would encourage parents to read with their child as often as possible. Reading logs will be sent home for you to make a note of the book your child has read at home, comments about how they read and any problems or progress you feel your child has made.
On Purplemash there is the Serial mash section where I have assigned a book with activities for your child to complete.
You can download below a recommended reading list for Year 2 pupils. These books are widely available from most book sellers.
