This will be on a Monday. Children should come to school in their PE kit which includes: navy joggers or leggings, a navy hoodie or sweatshirt, and a white school PE t-shirt

Homework

Homework will be distributed every Friday, either as a physical copy or online via Purple Mash. This should be returned by the following Wednesday.

We encourage you to support your child's reading at home as often as possible. It would be greatly appreciated if you could write a brief comment in your child’s reading record each time they read. Reading books should be returned to school on Mondays to allow us time to change the books for the next week. If books are not returned, they may not be changed.

Spellings will be sent home on Fridays, with a spelling test scheduled for the following Friday morning.

Looking Ahead

We are all very much looking forward to working with you and your child this Summer Term. We will be making bags in DT, creating a poetry anthology and meeting our special friends for next year. Everyone is excited about this!

Yours sincerely,

Mr Cushion, Mrs McCann and Mr Dagnall

Following on from our unit of work on Easter and the resurrection of Jesus, our new RE topic considers whether death is an ending or beginning - from a Christian perspective.  We will also look at the beliefs of Hindus, Buddhists and Muslims too.

The aims of the unit of work can be seen below.
The following story will form part of our lessons.  Waterbugs and Dragonflies by Doris Stickney.

After a water bug suddenly leaves her pond and is transformed into a dragonfly, her friends' questions about such departures are like those children ask when someone dies.
