WELCOME TO THE SPRING TERM IN YEAR 6!

SPRING TERM OVERVIEW ( and it is an exciting action-packed term!)

Hi-lights include:
A cross-curricular topic on China (land, history and Culture). This will include leading a workshop for the other Dawpool children. We will be exploring and experimenting with the art of China producing bamboo and blossom art. In DT we are planning to design our own Chinese style Kites and test fly our prototypes! We will also be exploring Hinduism and enjoying the Art of India.

Our Year 6 class have proven to be exceptionally creative so we are already looking forward to their creations!!

In the first half of the term we will be finishing our gripping class text, Beowulf before moving on to The Silver Sword which is set in WW2. Science Topics include: electricity (which involves a lot of practical investigations), the human circulatory system (including healthy eating and lifestyle).
We will be continuing with our maths and literacy learning, including adding to our grammatical Knowlege.
